CATHERINE ANSWERS THE FIVE W's

Who has inspired you, personally or professionally, to be who you are?

Definitely my Mom and Dad. They have always been encouraging, uplifting, "you can do anything you want to do" parents.

What do you believe with all of your heart?

You can't wait for life to come to you; you have to go after it.

When did you know that this was your path?

When I was a teenager I got into art and realized I'm just wired to make stuff. It brings me satisfaction and joy. I've discovered different avenues to do this along the way.

Where is your favorite place on earth?

Home. I also love the ocean/mountain combo in California and the charm/history of England.

Why are you here at BPC?

The sense of community in the world of scrapbooking is one of my favorite things about it. BPC is an institution in that arena. I'm thrilled to be here to share my love for design with like-minded people and exchange ideas.

How do you do everything you do?

Well, I'm tired a lot, but I love what I do! When I'm not at work, a lot of things get done when the kids nap and late at night. There are compromises too. For instance, there's no window washing happening at my house.
