ABOUT CD

Aside from her role as a very happy mom to three girls, and wife to her high school sweetheart, Cam;, CD Muckosky is a carefree and spirit filled artist/teacher. She resides in a small country town in the prairies of Canada, but is known around the globe for allowing her heart to pour out through all sorts of mixed mediums and creating her own brand of whimsy.

CD has been creating all her life, but really began her global art journey when she was named the Scrapbooker of the Year in 2006 by Creating Keepsakes magazine, and wrote a monthly column in the publication. She is well known for her innovative and recycled scrapbooking style, using unexpected supplies that we all have on hand mixed with a large dose of imagination!

CD has now opened her own studio just down the street from her family home and spends many hours a week teaching students of all ages how to open their hearts and be free in their creativity. One of CD’s biggest passions is helping families set aside time together, away from screens and other distractions, for creating lasting memories with their own art adventures!

CD ANSWERS THE FIVE W's

Who are you?

I'm a Canadian prairie girl, a soulful artist, blessed mama, and a generally happy heart wearing mismatched socks and funky shoes, trying with all my might to shine a light in this big wide world!

What do you believe with all of your heart?

I believe that God is good, and life is a gift. That we each have something so special that we were made to share with the world, we just need to discover what it is and make the choice to let it shine with all our might!

When did you know that this was your path?

From the time I was a tiny girl, I knew with all of my soul that all I wanted to be was “an artist and a mama.” I didn’t know how much I would adore teaching until I did it years later when I worked with CK mag, and then later on my own. Watching students of all ages unfold and find freedom, and how that can spread into so many other areas of their lives, it was ( and is) a joy that I am so honored to have the chance to share in. You know that you know that you KNOW you are doing what you were made to do when it never gets old, that passion burns like a fire in your heart that can’t be put out. You can’t turn it off. You need it like you need air.

Where is your favorite place on earth?

There is a very special cottage we go to each year at Victoria Beach in Manitoba, Canada. The world melts away, we unplug from technology, and enjoy the beauty of nature and time...slow wonderful fresh air kind of time. We find ourselves, we find each other, we come away refreshed and renewed every year. It’s the best place in all the world!

Why do you love your life?

My life is overflowing with blessings beyond my wildest dreams. I live in a happy yellow house, in a fabulous little town, and have my own studio! Pinch me! It still makes me smile every day that this is the life I get to live. I spend my days speaking into the lives of children and families as they come through my classes, and hopefully making a difference in some of those lives. I know that I am exactly where I was created to be and doing exactly what I was made to do, and not everybody gets to experience that. I. 100%. LOVE. My. life.

How do you do everything you do?

Well I’m pretty sure I was born with a rare 100% right brain. I’m carefree and artsy and silly, crazy chillaxed about life, and inspired at wild hours in the night. But with five head injuries in my story, if I ever did have even a few business type brain cells, they have been all crashed out! I just thank the Lord I have found some amazing friends to rope in, who have all of the “officey” skills that I never will. They have each been super important in making things happen smoothly. OR… I wear super funky shoes and it magically all just happens!
