Clean & Simple: Learn to Design and Create Hybrid Scrapbook Layouts Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements

Say goodbye to your rulers and hello to a solution that allows you to use Photoshop Elements (or Photoshop) to build scrapbook pages in the digital method, which you'll print and piece together—using additional supplies from your stash—to create beautiful hybrid layouts. Digital sketching has been the core of Cathy's approach since her very first layout, and it's a key part of the Clean & Simple process. You'll learn how to use Photoshop Elements to plan and design pages, just like Cathy does.
Each week you'll receive a template assignment designed by Cathy—some 12" x 12", some 8 1/2" x 11", as well as receiving all of the custom-designed PNG files needed to complete the page. Along the way, you'll receive thoughtful layout ideas, tips to improve your writing, Cathy's trademark type tricks, and page-design secrets. You'll also get the best of Cathy's graphic-design knowledge as she outlines why each assignment works.
During the second half of class, once you've built your digital/hybrid confidence, Cathy will provide design challenges that encourage you to create your own projects using that week's approach and instruction.

About Cathy
Cathy Zielske has been working as a graphic designer for 24 years and is also the author of two definitive books on scrapbook design, Clean&Simple Scrapbooking and Clean&Simple Scrapbooking: The Sequel.
Cathy believes that design is as much a tool for scrapbookers as a paper trimmer or adhesive. The more you understand, the better your pages will look and the more confidence you'll have. She believes it's not about the latest and greatest products or how awesome your camera is or how creative you are; it's about how you work with images, spaces, and words. There's no one more qualified than Cathy to show you how to elevate your own style through time-tested principles of design.
This is a very hands-on, assignment-based, video-driven workshop for users of Photoshop Elements (or Photoshop). Cathy will provide all instruction, both written and video, to guide you through each week. A familiarity with Photoshop Elements is helpful, but it's not required. Cathy will provide detailed step-by-step instruction for all assignments.

A "Self-Paced Workshop" allows you to create and be inspired on your own timetable. Comprised of video or audio files, PDF downloads, supply lists, and more, these eCourses offer a complete learning experience inside a private online classroom. This classroom will be available for access and download in your account until January 31, 2015.
Just follow the instructor's lead, add your own creativity and perspective, and then upload your work to the private classroom gallery.
