ABOUT HEIDI

Heidi Swapp is known in the craft industry for her innovative style, trend setting product ideas and her recognizable, fanciful handwriting. Whether she is spray painting on her scrapbook pages or creating embellishments that are completely 'see-through' her boundary pushing concepts have always made her 'the one to watch.'

Heidi describes scrapbooking as a 'lifestyle'—it's something in the forefront of her mind as she lives each day looking for stories or snippets of history she wants to capture. Her passion is capturing the memories and 'sprinkling them with fabulous' in the form of glitter, color, ribbons, ruffles, flowers, and bows!

As Heidi brings her signature style back to the craft industry she plans to encourage and inspire everyone to tell their story, create to remember, and along the way...make pretty stuff...everyday!

Who are you?

I am 10 minutes late to everything… and I am terrible at keeping secrets…especially exciting ones. I am a last minute kind of girl- it's never until the very last minute that I pull it together, and make it happen. Maybe I am just an adrenaline junkie! I drive the speed limit.

What do you believe with all of your heart?

I believe that you need to know what you want before you can get it.

When did you get your start?

People ask me all the time how I ‘got into’ scrapbooking… and I can tell you, that I am not sure if there was ever a ‘beginning'. I think it was always there.

Where do you hope to go?

I am laughing as I am contemplating this question…in the past I might have rattled off a million destinations around the globe that I HOPE or DREAM of visiting… however, right now… this year… I HOPE to stay put. I hope to slow down just a little. I hope to focus on my home and balance things out a little. I HOPE to go nowhere.

Why do you love teaching at BPC?

What's not to love…I have loved the freedom to develop something that I am passionate about. I love that I can stay home to do it.! I LOVE using the Internet to connect and share. I love brainstorming with Stacy to come up with unique ideas and possibilities! I love that BPC values beautiful presentation…great branding…nicely done. I love the unlimited possibilities!It's fun to think about.
