ABOUT KAREN

Karen Grunberg has been journaling since she got her first journal at the age of six. She was known as "the girl with diaries" throughout her youth, and moved to blogging in 1999 and hasn't stopped since. She cannot create a layout without journaling. She lives in Northern California with her two boys and wonderful husband. She works a technical job by day and spends every night journaling and creating art.

Who are you?

I am still trying to figure it all out.

What do you believe with all of your heart?

That everyone on this earth is uniquely wonderful and the world would be a better place if everyone chose to step into his or her brilliance.

When did you know that this was your path?

It's where I always thought I belonged, and now I know I was right all along.

Where is your favorite place on earth?

Where my kids and husband are—assuming they're with me, it's a split between Torrey Pines State Reserve and Muir Woods.

Why do you love your life?

Because I am so immensely lucky to be loved the way I am and to love as much as I do.

How do you do everything you do?

Through discipline and persistence.
