ABOUT STACY

Stacy is the founder of online education at Big Picture Classes. She was also the founder of Simple Scrapbooks magazine (2002-2009.) Stacy is married to her perennial-loving husband who now boasts 74 different genus (from Achillea Millefolium to Wisteria Sinensis) in their yard, and yes, he maintains an alphabetized listing! Stacy and Geoff are parents to four sons and one daughter (an adopted princess from Korea). Their daily life is both full, frenzied, and very fun.

Stacy took her first scrapbooking class in the summer of 1994 and still hankers after the opportunity to spend time with her pictures and play with happy, colorful papers and products, "Scrapbooking reminds me of all that is good and worthwhile and often restores creativity and clarity—both of which I desperately need as a work-at-home mom!"

Who are you?

Child of God. Passionate about true principles and impractical ideas. Lover of children, color, and chocolate, in that order!

What do you believe with all of your heart?

The good guys win in the end.

When did you know that this was your path?

When I read an issue of CK magazine and felt inadequate. I knew that wasn't OK. That was when I decided I needed to speak up and really do something.

Where is your favorite place on earth?

My home (when it's clean!).

Why do you love your life?

Because it's filled with good people and happy memories. There is plenty of laughter, lots of color and it's riddled with imperfection, which means there is always something to do or improve!

How do you do everything you do?

I surround myself with smart, talented people. I've also learned to delegate and let go!
